【JCW設立8周年を迎えて】 2026年3月15日。おかげさまでJCWは設立8周年を迎えました。 私達はダラス・デンバーを拠点に、海外で働く女性のネットワークづくり、勉強会、メンタープログラム、インターン、カルチャー体験などを通じて、世代や立場を越えた学びとつながりを推し進めています。 また、働く女性の支援に加えて 「いつか海外で働きたい」「海外留学に挑戦したい」 といった未来を描く女子大生達の挑戦も応援しています。これまで当会の活動に関わって下さった全ての皆様に、心より感謝申し上げます。 これからも、世界へ踏み出す女性たちの一歩を支えるコミュニティとして歩み続けます。 今後ともJCWをどうぞよろしくお願い致します。 We are thrilled to announce that JCW is celebrating its 8th anniversary on March 15th, 2026!  From Dallas & Denver, we foster connections among women working overseas and promote collaboration through networking, study sessions, mentorship programs, internships, and cultural experiences.  In addition, JCW also encourages female college students who aspire to work abroad or study overseas and pursue global opportunities in the future. JCW would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of our journey.  We will continue to grow as a community that supports women taking their next step into the world. The 8th Anniversary Event "Empower Her Market" (Mar 7, 2026) 米国時間3月7日、JCWは8周年記念イベント「Empower Her Market」をテキサス州プレーノ市で開催しました。会場は、ダラス・フォートワース日米協会のご厚意によりご提供いただきました。 JCW Staff Members and PAW(SA) Members 当日の朝は激しい雷雨に見舞われましたが、イベント開始時間が近づくにつれ、雨も一時的に小降りとなりました。 会場には、グルメ、デザート、アート、アクセサリー、サービスなど、計20のブースが出展。また、茶道裏千家淡交会ダラス・フォートワース協会にもご参加いただき、抹茶の点て方体験など、日本文化を楽しんでいただける機会も設けられました。 あいにくの天候にもかかわらず、多くの方々にご来場いただきました。 ダラス周辺でこれほど多くの女性がビジネスを展開されていることに改めて驚かされるとともに、出展者の皆様のエネルギーとパワーに大きな刺激をいただきました。 新しいネットワークも広がり、心に残る素晴らしい8周年の節目となりました。 ご出展いただいた皆様、会場をご提供くださったダラス・フォートワース日米協会、そしてご来場くださった皆様に心より感謝申し上げます。 JCWはこれからも、働く女性、そして挑戦する女性を応援し続けてまいります。 On March 7 (U.S. time), JCW held its 8th anniversary event, “Empower Her Market,” in Plano, Texas. The venue was generously provided by the Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth. Although the morning began with heavy thunderstorms, the rain eased as the event start time approached. The event featured a total of 20 booths, including gourmet food, desserts, art, accessories, and various services. We were also honored to have participation from the Urasenke Tankokai Dallas-Fort Worth Association, where visitors had the opportunity to experience Japanese culture through a matcha tea preparation demonstration. Despite the rainy weather, many guests joined us for the event. It was inspiring to see so many women entrepreneurs in the Dallas area, and we were truly energized by the passion and power of all the exhibitors. The event helped create new connections and networks, making it a memorable and meaningful celebration of JCW’s 8th anniversary. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the exhibitors, the Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth for generously providing the venue, and everyone who attended the event. JCW will continue to support and empower women who work hard and take on new challenges.

A guided tea tasting experience that explores the rich aromas and flavors of Chinese tea (Feb 21 2026) 米国時間の2月21日に「中国茶の魅力を知ろう」イベントをTexas州Frisco市で開催しました。主催会場の Greenova Tea 様のご厚意により、和やかな雰囲気の中で、中国茶の基礎知識や種類の違いについてレクチャーを受けました。 4種類のお茶を試飲し、それぞれに合わせたお茶菓子とのペアリングも体験。 茶葉の種類やお湯の温度に応じて「味や香りの違いがよく分かった」「組み合わせが新鮮で楽しい」といった声が寄せられました。お茶を囲んで自然と会話も弾み、学びと交流のひとときとなりました。ご参加いただいた皆さま、ありがとうございました！ On February 21st, JCW hosted an event, “Discover the Charm of Chinese Tea" at Greenova, located in Frisco, Tecas. Thanks to the generous support of Greenova, we were able to enjoy a warm and welcoming atmosphere while learning about the basics of Chinese tea.  Participants sampled 4 different teas and experienced thoughtful pairings with complementary sweets. We were able to taste and appreciate the differences in flavor and aroma depending on the type of tea leaves and water temperature.  Thank you for joining our event, we had a great time together!

New Year Networking Dinner (Feb 7 2026) 米国時間の2026年2月7日、JCW新年会ネットワーキングディナーを、Texas州Allen市のダウンタウンにある Hedary’s Mediterranean Restaurant  にて開催しました。本イベントは当初1月24日に予定されていましたが、テキサスを襲った大寒波の影響により、約2週間延期しての開催となりました。 会場となった Hedary’s は、レバノン・ベイルートから内戦を逃れてテキサスに移住したご夫婦によって創業されたレストランです。最初はフォートワースで開業し、1980年代に息子さんの代で Allen に移転。現在の店舗は、1904年に建てられた築122年のビクトリア調の一軒家で、当時は14人の子どもがいる大家族が暮らしていたそうです。レストランとして改装された後も、床やドアなど随所に当時の面影が残り、アンティークでアットホームな雰囲気が漂う空間です。 延期の影響で残念ながら参加できなくなった方もいらっしゃいましたが、当日は総勢17名が参加。スパークリングワインで乾杯した後、レバノン料理のフムス、ナスのペースト、きゅうりとヨーグルトのサラダ、焼きたての自家製ピタパン、タッブーレ（パセリ・トマト・玉ねぎのサラダ）、ファラッファル（ひよこ豆のコロッケ）、地中海風サラダなどが次々と並びました。メインにはチキンの丸焼き、ひき肉料理、肉のグリルが大皿で提供され、最後は甘いバグラバとレバノンコーヒー、ミントティー、ハーブティーで締めくくりました。 ※バグラバは、ナッツを何層もの薄い生地で重ね、シロップを染み込ませた中東の伝統菓子です。 和気あいあいと歓談 食事の途中には参加者全員の自己紹介タイムを実施。受付時に筆ペンで書いていただいた「今年の抱負」を披露しながら発表していただきました。短い一言の中に、それぞれのバックグラウンドや想いが凝縮されており、聞く側も自然と親近感が湧く時間となりました。 その後はビンゴゲームを開催。皆さん真剣な表情で番号を探し、1位から5位の方へ景品をお渡ししました。終盤には席替えを行い、ネットワーキングタイムへ。久しぶりに再会された方、今回が初参加の方、それぞれ会話が弾み、会場は終始和気あいあいとした雰囲気に包まれていました。 ご参加いただいた皆さま、心温まる楽しい時間を本当にありがとうございました。 On February 7, 2026, JCW (Japanese Career Women) hosted its New Year Networking Dinner at Hedary’s Mediterranean Restaurant, located in downtown Allen, Texas. The event was originally scheduled for January 24 but was postponed for approximately two weeks due to a severe winter storm that impacted Texas. The venue, Hedary’s Mediterranean Restaurant, was founded by a couple who fled the civil war in Beirut, Lebanon, and immigrated to Texas. The restaurant first opened in Fort Worth and later relocated to Allen in the 1980s under the leadership of their son. The current location is a Victorian-style house built in 1904, making it 122 years old. It is said that a large family with 14 children once lived there. Although the house was later converted into a restaurant, many original elements—such as the floors and doors—have been preserved, creating a warm, antique, and welcoming atmosphere. While a few members were unfortunately unable to attend due to the rescheduling, a total of 17 participants joined the dinner. After a toast with sparkling wine, guests enjoyed a generous selection of Lebanese and Mediterranean dishes, including hummus, eggplant dip, cucumber yogurt salad, freshly baked homemade pita bread, tabbouleh (a parsley, tomato, and onion salad), falafel (fried chickpea croquettes), and Mediterranean-style salad. The main courses—served family-style on large platters—included roasted whole chicken, seasoned ground meat dishes, and grilled meats. The evening concluded with baklava, a traditional Middle Eastern dessert made of layered phyllo dough, nuts, and syrup, accompanied by Lebanese coffee, mint tea, and herbal tea. During the meal, all participants took part in a self-introduction session. At registration, each guest was asked to write their “goal for the year” using a Japanese calligraphy brush pen and share it with the group. Even in just a few words, each message reflected personal backgrounds and aspirations, naturally fostering a sense of connection among attendees. This was followed by a bingo game, where everyone eagerly searched for their numbers. Prizes were awarded to the first through fifth place winners. Toward the end of the evening, seats were rearranged to allow for additional networking time. Conversations flowed easily among both familiar faces and first-time participants, and the venue remained filled with a friendly and lively atmosphere throughout the night. We sincerely thank everyone who joined us and helped make this evening such a warm and enjoyable experience.
