3大学合同イベント「Language Exchange Free Talk Event」を開催しました！ 今月もみなさんと楽しいお話ができました 日本時間で11月23日、アメリカ中部時間(CST)で11月22日に、第3回目となる"Language Exchange Free Talk Event"を開催しました！ 今月も、津田塾大学、テキサス大学ダラス校、カンザス大学の3つの大学から学生が集まり、「食欲の秋 (Seasonal Foods in the Fall)」をトピックに、日本語と英語で交流しました。 日本では、秋は美味しい食べ物が豊富で、「食欲の秋」と呼ばれることがある一方、アメリカではThanksgivingに家族が集まり、ターキーなどの伝統的な料理を楽しむ習慣があります。このように秋にまつわるお互いの食文化を紹介し合うことができました！ 参加者のみなさん、ありがとうございました。来月はクリスマスをテーマに開催したいと準備中です。年内最後のイベントにぜひご参加いただけると嬉しいです！ On November 22nd (CST) / November 23rd (JPT), we held the "Language Exchange Free Talk Event!" This event was the third collaboration between 3 universities (Tsuda University / University of Texas at Dallas / University of Kansas). Students from the US and Japan joined and had fun talking in Japanese and English about "Seasonal Foods in the Fall (食欲の秋)." We talked about Thanksgiving in the US, which people celebrate by eating turkey with their family. In Japan, people often use the phrase "shokuyoku-no-aki," which means fall is the best season for eating! We had a great time exchanging culture! Thank you to all the participants. We are planning to hold this event next with the theme of Christmas. Please join us!

津田ヶ谷祭に参加しました！ 津田ヶ谷祭の様子 11月18日と19日の2日間にわたって開催された第7回津田ヶ谷祭に参加しました。今回は初めての試みとして、お菓子の販売を行いました。アメリカで人気のあるスナックやキャンディーを輸入して販売しました。とても好評で、多くの方から美味しいとのお言葉をいただき、嬉しかったです！お越しいただいたみなさん、ありがとうございました！ 初めての試みとなるアメリカのお菓子販売は大好評でした We participated in the 7th Tsudagaya Festival on November 18th and 19th. This year, we tried selling sweets for the first time. We are glad that many visitors said our sweets were delicious. Thank you to everyone who came!

Unlimitedメンバーがゲスト出演したPodcast番組が配信されました！ ゲスト出演させていただきました 前回に続き、台湾在住のブロガー兼YouTuberであるMakiyoさんが主催するPodcast番組「Excuse Me Dallasの湯呑み(You know me)」に、Unlimitedメンバーが再びゲスト出演させていただきました！ 今回の出演者は、Unlimitedから現在カンザス大学に留学中の真下萌奈さんと、Unlimitedの姉妹団体であるPAW(SA)から、テキサス大学ダラス校の堤みなみさんです。 アメリカに留学中の日本人女子大学生のリアルをテーマに、留学を決めた経緯やアメリカでのカルチャーショックなど、現地にいる学生の視点からお話ししました。 Podcastでは音声が、YouTubeでは動画が配信されています。 ぜひ下記のリンクからご視聴ください！ 出演メンバー: 堤みなみ(上)、真下萌奈(下) Continuing from the previous occasion, members of Unlimited had the honor of being guest speakers on the podcast program “Excuse Me Dallas no Yunomi (You know me),” hosted by Makiyo, a blogger and YouTuber based in Taiwan! This time, the guest speakers were Mona Mashimo from Unlimited, currently studying at the University of Kansas, and Minami Tsutsumi from PAW(SA), Unlimited’s sister organization, studying at the University of Texas at Dallas. The theme revolved around “The Realities of Japanese Female University Students Studying in the United States,” where we shared our experiences of deciding to study abroad, cultural shocks encountered in America, and other aspects from the perspective of students living there. 3大学合同イベント「Language Exchange Free Talk Event」を開催しました！ 日本語と英語で楽しいお話ができました 日本時間で10月23日、アメリカ中部時間(CST)で10月22日に、第２回目となる”Language Exchange Free Talk Event”を開催しました！ 今回も前回同様、津田塾大学、テキサス大学ダラス校、およびカンザス大学に通う日米の大学生が集まりました。今回は、「秋の行事・イベント(Fall Activities)」をトピックに、日本のお月見や紅葉狩り、アメリカのHalloween、Thanksgivingなどを紹介し合い、文化交流をすることができました。 参加者のみなさん、ありがとうございました！また来月もお会いしましょう！ On October 22nd (CDT) and October 23rd (JPT), we hosted “Language Exchange Free Talk Event!” This was the second collaborative event by three universities Tsuda University, the University of Texas at Dallas, and the University of Kansas. Students from the US and Japan joined and enjoyed talking in Japanese and English with the topic of “Fall Activities (秋の行事・イベント)” We had a great time discussing multiple cultural activities such as Halloween and Thanksgiving in the US, and Otsukimi and Momijigari in Japan! Thank you to all the participants! We are planning to hold this event again next month. Please join us!

津田塾祭に参加しました！ 津田塾祭の様子 10月21日から22日までの2日間、第64回津田塾祭に参加しました。Unlimitedのブースでは、活動の紹介を行い、このイベントのためにポスターやオリジナルムービーを制作し、準備してきました。今年度は予約なしでどなたでも大学に入場することができたため、高校生から大人まで幅広い年齢層の方にお越しいただき、Unlimitedの活動や魅力を存分にお伝えすることができました。お越しいただいたみなさん、ありがとうございました！ We participated in the 64th Tsuda University Festival held over two days on October 21st and 22nd. The unlimited booth featured an introduction to our activities, and we prepared posters and original videos specifically for this event. As this year allowed entry to the university without reservations, people of all ages, from high school students to adults, came to learn about and experience the activities and charm of Unlimited. Thank you to everyone who visited!

JCW Wa-Kei-Sei-Jaku, Tea Ceremony 11月18日にダラス対面イベント「和敬清寂・お茶会」を実施しました。日々の喧騒からすこし離れ、ステキな和の時間を過ごすことができました。お久しぶりな方や、初めましてな方など、皆さまとお茶を通じた秋のひと時。お仕事のこと、Fun Fact、子育て事情、日常のあれこれや健康のことまで、多岐にわたるガールズトークで、あっとい 間の2時間でした。ご参加いただいた皆様、ありがとうございました！ On November 18, we held a Dallas in-person event "Wa-Kei-Sei-Jaku, Tea Ceremony". We were able to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and spend a wonderful time in Japanese style. It was a wonderful fall tea ceremony with a gathering of those who had not seen each other for a long time and those who were just meeting for the first time. The two hours flew by with girl-talk on a wide variety of topics including work, fun facts, child-rearing, daily life, and health. Thank you so much for your participation!
