3大学合同イベント「Language Exchange Free Talk Event」を開催しました！ 二ヶ国三都市を繋いでの交流会の様子 日本時間9/24、アメリカ時間(CST)9/23に、”Language Exchange Free Talk Event”を開催しました！ 津田塾大学・テキサス大学・カンザス大学の３大学合同で初開催のイベントでしたが、UnlimitedとPAW(SA)のメンバーが協力して企画・運営しました。 アメリカと日本から約30名の大学生が集まり、”自己紹介 (Self-Introduction)”をトピックに日本語と英語で楽しくお話することができました。 夏休みの思い出の話では、それぞれの素敵な思い出を発表し合ってとても盛り上がりました！！ 参加者のみなさん、ありがとうございました！！！ 来月も開催予定です！ぜひご参加いただけると嬉しいです。 On September 23rd (CDT) / September 24th (JPT), we held the “Language Exchange Free Talk Event!” It was the first collaborative event between 3 universities (Tsuda University / University of Texas at Dallas / University of Kansas.) Members of Unlimited and PAW(SA) worked together to plan and organize this event! About 30 American and Japanese participants joined and had fun talking about “Self-Introductions (自己紹介)” in Japanese and English. DJCW Coaching Workshop ダラス時間の2023年9月9日（土）に株式会社コーチ・エイよりエグゼクティブコーチとしてご活躍されているAngie Tongさんを講師としてお招きして、オンラインイベント「コーチング・ワークショップ~双方向なコミュニケーションとは？エグゼクティブコーチと学んでみよう」を開催しました。 普段、双方向なコミュニケーションを意識して会話しているつもりでも、どちらか一方が多く話してしまったりということは実際によく起こること。そうすると聞いている側にとっては情報量がとても多くなり、負担になってきたりするそうです。 ワークショップでは参加者同士がペアとなりどちらか一方が与えられたテーマについて話す側となり、もう一方は聞く側となりました。聞く側はただ話をじっと聞いているだけではなく、話す側が話しやすいように色々と質問しながら聞く姿勢が求められました。そうすることで自然と会話のキャッチボールが生まれてきます。ワークショップでのこのエクセサイズは２回行われ、２回目は１回目とは違う人とペアになりました。 ワークショップ終了後は、参加者の皆さんのお顔がほっこりとされていて、双方向なコミュニケーションのパワーを感じました！ Angieさん、そしてこのワークショップをサポートして下さったGeraldine Hoさん、ありがとうございました！ もっとコーチングについて知りたい方のためにコーチ・エイ様よりコーチング学習プログラムの説明会があります。ご興味のある方は下記のリンクからどうぞ。 https://www.coacha.com/seminar/coachu_forum/djcw/ On Saturday, September 16, 2023 (CDT), we conducted an online event titled "Coaching Workshop: Understanding Interactive Communication - Learn from an Executive Coach", inviting Ms. Angie Tong, who is serving as a Principal and Executive Coach at COACH A Co. Ltd. Even when we think we are consciously engaging in interactive communication, it's common for one to end up speaking more than the other, affecting the balance of the conversation. This can result in an overload of information for the listener, becoming burdensome. In the workshop, participants were paired up, taking turns being the speaker and the listener on a given topic. The listener's role was not only to listen attentively but also to ask various questions to make it easier for the speaker to express themselves. This dynamic created a natural back-and-forth in the conversation. This exercise was conducted twice during the workshop, with participants being paired with different individuals for the second round. After the workshop, the participants had smiles on their faces, and we could feel the power of interactive communication! RICCI EVERYDAY ８周年記念イベントに参加（Participated in the 8th Anniversary Event of RICCI EVERYDAY) DJCWが2021年8月27日に主催した「世界で働く日本人女性と繋がろうシリーズ・第４弾ウガンダ編」に登壇された RICCI EVERYDAY の創業者、仲本千津さんに関するお知らせです。 今年8月26日でRICCI EVERYDAYは設立されてから8周年を迎えました。設立記念日であるこの日に神楽坂のお店で８周年記念イベントがあり、DJCWの運営メンバーである藤井アニータが記念イベントに参加してきました。 会場である神楽坂のお店に到着するとスタッフが温かく迎えて下さり、その後創業者の仲本千津さんが登場しトークセッションが始まりました。仲本千津さんは８周年を迎えるにあたり、どうにかここまで来ることが出来たと感無量のご様子でした。その後、ウガンダの経済状況についてのお話がありました。特に昨年２月に勃発したロシア・ウクライナ戦争によりインフレが進み、ガソリンの値段が高騰しウガンダ国内にも大きな影響をもたらしているとのことです。その他ウガンダ政府が周辺諸国の難民を積極的に受け入れている話、そして創業９年目となる来年の抱負等盛り沢山のトークセッションとなりました。 トークセッションの間、参加者にはウガンダ産のコーヒー、紅茶、カカオ豆のお菓子（これがとっても美味でした！）が振舞われ、和やかな雰囲気の中で仲本千津さんのお話しを聞いていました。 Q&Aセッションの後、仲本千津さんのお母さまで同社代表取締役でもある仲本律枝さんが登場され、８周年を迎えた心境などを語って下さいました。主に在庫管理やアドミニのお仕事を一挙に引き受けている仲本律枝さんならではの苦労話、そして仲本千津さんの子供時代のお話しなどを伺うことも出来ました。その他、中期的にはご夫婦でウガンダに移住したいと今後の抱負を語られましたが、仲本千津さんもこの話は初耳だったとのことで非常に驚いたご様子でした。また設立記念日である８月26日は実は仲本家にとっては大変重大な意味があることもお話しされていました（詳細は 「アフリカでバッグの会社はじめました　寄り道多め、仲本千津の進んできた道」 に書いてあるそうです）。 日本帰国中に一緒に８周年をお祝いすることが出来、大変に有意義なひと時でした。仲本さん、これからの益々のご活躍を期待しています！

DJCW - 2023年夏のインターンプログラム終了 (2023 Summer Internship Program Completed) 今年で３回目となるDJCWのインターンプログラムがダラス時間7月27日に無事終了しました!インタープログラムでは3～4 人で１つのチームとなり、リーダー・サブリーダー主導で 3 つのプロジェクトに関してリサーチや企画立案などを対応頂きました。チーム１は賞やアワード、活動基金のリサーチ、チーム２は津田塾大学や東京についての紹介動画作成と、イベント時にPAW(SA)への発表、チーム３はPAW(SA)とのお話会イベント共同企画に取り組みました。 インターンプログラムの最終日に各チームが持ち時間最大18分でそれぞれの活動についての成果報告をスライドにまとめ、チームメンバー全員が発表しました。若い世代ならではの斬新なアイデアも沢山あり、DJCWスタッフが思いもつかなかったような発想がとても新鮮でした。 インターンプログラムは１か月間となっていますが、課題に取り組める期間は実質数週間という非常に短い時間で各チームともメンバー間で密にコミュニケーションを取り、効率よく課題に取り組み遂行して下さいました。 インターンプログラムを終えて毎回DJCWスタッフが思うのは、インターンの学生とDJCWスタッフの双方向にとって学びがあるということです。また、来年以降もインターンプログラムを実施していけるように頑張ります！ インターン生の皆さん、お疲れ様でした！また本プログラムをサポートして下さった津田塾大学の学外学修センター様にこの場を借りてお礼申し上げます。 The third DJCW's internship program concluded successfully on July 27th (CDT)! During the internship program, participants formed teams of 3 to 4 members, led by a leader and a sub-leader in each team, and worked on three projects. Team 1 focused on researching awards and fundraising activities. Team 2 created introduction videos about Tsuda University and Tokyo, and also presented to PAW(SA) during the collaboration event held on July 21 (CDT). Team 3 collaborated with PAW(SA) to prepare for the joint event. On the final day of the internship program, each team had maximum of18 minutes to present their project outcomes using slides, and all team members participated in the presentations. There were many innovative ideas from the young generation, and the DJCW staff found these fresh perspectives quite intriguing. Although the internship was one month program, the actual time available for working on the projects was only a few weeks. However, all the team members effectively communicated within their teams and efficiently tackled the tasks. Upon the completion of the internship program, the DJCW staff always realize that both the interns and the DJCW staff benefit from a two-way learning experience. We hope we can continue the internship program going forward. Congratulations to all the interns for their hard work! The DJCW extends its sincere gratitude to the Off-Campus Learning Center at Tsuda University for their valuable support in this program.

Internship Program - Collaboration Talk Event with PAW(SA) ダラス時間の2023年7月20日（木）にDJCW夏のインターンプログラムに参加している津田塾大学のインターン生達が、テキサス大学ダラス校（UTD)で活動しているDJCW学生支部PAW（SA)との共同企画イベント、お話会を実施しました。これはインターンプログラムの課題の一つとして取り組んでいた企画です。 この企画はＰＡＷ（ＳＡ）のリーダーとメール等でやり取りしながら何週間も前から準備していたものでした。ＰＡＷ（ＳＡ）のリーダーは英語が母国語なので、やり取りは全て英語でした。当日のイベントももちろん英語！司会進行役を務めてくれたインターン生たちも、英語で見事にイベントを仕切ってくれました。 津田塾大学のインターン生とＰＡＷ（ＳＡ）のメンバーがそれぞれの大学と東京またはダラスについての紹介動画を作成して、イベント中に上映しました。日米双方のメンバー達は皆興味深そうに動画を観ていました。 このイベントにはインターン生、PAW（SA)メンバーの他、日本の学生支部、Unlimitedのメンバーも参加してくれて、DJCWの日米の学生支部が初めてオンラインで顔を合わせました。その他、ブレークアウトルームに分かれての自己紹介を兼ねたShow ＆Tellセッション、ゲームなど盛り沢山の内容で和気あいあいとした雰囲気で大成功のイベントとなりました！ インターン生そしてPAW（SA)の皆さん、お疲れ様でした！またインターン生を支えてくれたUnlimitedのメンバーにも感謝です。 インターンプログラムも残るところ１週間となりましたが、来週の最終発表会が楽しみです！ On Thursday, July 20, 2023 (CDT), the interns from Tsuda University who are participating in the DJCW Summer Internship Program held a collaborative event and talk session with PAW (SA), the Student Association of the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). This event was one of the projects they had been working on as part of the internship program. The planning for this event started a few weeks in advance, with exchanges of emails and communication with the leader of PAW (SA). Since the leader of PAW (SA) is a native English speaker, all communication was in English. On the day of the event, everything was conducted in English! The students who served as hosts for the event did a fantastic job, successfully handling everything. The interns from Tsuda University and the members of PAW (SA) each created introduction videos about their universities and life in Tokyo and Dallas, which were shared during the event. The participants from both Japan and the US seemed genuinely interested in each other's videos. In addition to the interns and PAW (SA) members, Unlimited members, the student association at Tsuda University, also participated in the event. Finally, DJCW's student associations from Japan and the U.S. met online! The interns and PAW (SA) members who planned the event organized breakout rooms for self-introductions/show and tell sessions, and games, creating a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere. The event was a great success! Kudos to all the interns and PAW (SA) members for their hard work and dedication! And special thanks to the members of Unlimited for supporting the interns. With only one week left in the internship program, everyone is looking forward to the final presentation by the interns next week!

インターン生とPAW(SA)によるお話会共同企画！ 今回初めて日米のJDCW学生支部メンバーが集まりました！ 2023年7月21日（日本時間）、"Girls' Active Collaboration" をテーマに英語でのオンラインお話会にUnlimitedメンバーが参加しました！ このお話会は、DJCW主催インターンに参加した津田塾大学生がDJCWのダラス学生支部PAW(SA)メンバーと協力して企画しました。Unlimitedメンバーからも1人がインターンのサポートを担当し、一緒にお話会を準備しました。 お話会では、インターン生が津田塾大学の魅力を紹介するビデオを、PAW(SA)メンバーがUniversity of Texas at Dallasの魅力を紹介するビデオを上映しました！ 自分のお気に入りのものを紹介する"show& tell" や日米の文化に関するクイズを楽しみ、交流を深めることができました。 Unlimitedメンバーにとっては、同じDJCW学生支部のPAW(SA)メンバーとお話できたことがとても嬉しかったです。 これからも、コラボイベントなどを開催して、協力していきたいと思います！！ 企画担当のみなさん、参加者のみなさん、素敵なお話会をありがとうございました。 【Meeting with DJCW&PAW(SA)】 On July 21st (JST), we participated in the online meeting "Girls' Active Collaboration.” This meeting was planned by DJCW's internship members from Tsuda University and PAW(SA) which is DJCW's student association of the University of Texas at Dallas. One of the members of Unlimited supported DJCW’s internship and planned the meeting. Internship members from Japan and PAW(SA) members each made a video to introduce attractive points of each university, and we watched them! We also enjoyed “show & tell.” We challenged quizzes about American and Japanese cultures and boosted cultural exchanges. It's a wonderful opportunity for Unlimited members to connect with PAW(SA) members which is DJCW's other student branch at Dallas. We'd like to continue to cooperate and hold some collaboration events!! Thank you to all of the hosts and participants of this wonderful meeting.

Unlimitedが設立して１周年を迎えました！ 日々サポートしていただきありがとうございます 2022年7月19日、UnlimitedはアメリカNPO法人DJCWの学生支部として発足しました。 この1年もの間に、10月・11月の津田塾大学学園祭への参加、2月のJICA職員の方とのお話会、4月に新入生歓迎会を行うなど、全てを書ききれませんが、活発的に活動しています！ このように貴重な活動ができているのは、お忙しいところ企画にご協力してくださる方や、日々温かくサポートしてくださる皆さんのおかげです。本当にありがとうございます！ 今後も、海外経験のある人と海外に興味のある人を繋げるグローバルメンタープログラムの運営やOGのお話を聞ける会等の開催を予定しています。 これからもフォローをよろしくお願いいたします。 July 19, 2022, Unlimited was founded as a student chapter of the Non-Profit Organization DJCW. Over the past year, we have been actively engaging various events, such as participating in Tsuda University school festival in October & November, having a talk session with JICA staff in February, holding a welcome party for new students in April, etc. We would like to express special thanks to those who kindly support us by taking time out of their busy schedule!　We are moving forward to the next step on the Global Mentor Program, which connects students who are interested in studying/working abroad with people who have overseas experience. We are also planning to continue arranging fun events such as OG discussions. Please keep following our activities!

DJCWメンバーとランチ会開催 ランチ会の様子 先日、DJCWのメンバーと東京で会うことができました！今回、初めて直接会うことができ嬉しかったです。 日米の就活の違いを英語で話して意見交換したりとランチ会を楽しんだ一方で、英語学習のやる気に火をつける機会になりました。また開催しましょう！ 【Had a Lunch with DJCW members】 We met DJCW members for the first time in Tokyo the other day! It was a wonderful time talking about each other such as a different job-hunting style, and we enjoyed it. Also, this time motivated us to study English more.
