国際女性デー
International Women's Day
(English will follow) 3月8日は「国際女性デー (International Women's Day) 」です。1975年に国連によって
制定され、すばらしい役割を担ってきた女性達によってもたらされた勇気と決断を
称える日です。一部の地域ではミモザの花を送る風習もあるそう。
今年のテーマはInspire Inclusion。ミモザの花言葉でもある「感謝」の思いを胸に、周囲の人たちに感謝しながら日々を過ごしていきたいですね。
これからもJCWは、アメリカ、そして世界で活躍する女性をエンパワメントできるよう、様々な活動に取り組んでいきます。今後ともご支援ご鞭撻のほど、よろしくお願い致します。
International Women's Day was established by the UN in 1975 to honor the courage and determination of women who played important roles in the world. It is also customary to send mimosa flowers in certain countries. This year's theme is "Inspire Inclusion". With the thought of appreciation and gratitude, let's embrace our days being thankful to those around us.
