留学生と一緒にベトナムの文化を楽しみました！ 参加者のみなさんと国際交流を楽しむことができました！😊✨ English will follow 2025/6/10に津田塾大学小平キャンパスでCulture Dayを開催しました！ 留学生から自分の国の魅力を紹介してもらい、様々な国の文化を体験できるイベントです！！！ 第3回は、ベトナム！🇻🇳 ベトナム出身の留学生から、ベトナムのおすすめ観光名所や美味しい食べ物についてプレゼンをしてもらいました！ ベトナム語の特別授業も！ アメリカ、イギリスなど他の国からの留学生や参加者のみなさんと一緒にとても盛り上がりました！ ベトナムのゲーム、クイズ、お菓子などを楽しみ、交流することができました！☺️ On June 10th, 2025, Unlimited hosted a Culture Day at Tsuda University in Kodaira, Tokyo! At the Culture Day, international students introduce their own culture and participants can enjoy cultures from various countries! In the third time, we featured Vietnam! 🇻🇳 International students from Vietnam had a special presentation about great places and delicious foods we can enjoy in Vietnam! We also had a special class to learn Vietnamese! Early Summer Tea Ceremony (May 31, 2025) 米国時間の5月31日、「初夏のお茶会」を開催しました。 今回のイベントには、過去に茶道のお茶会に参加された経験者の方々に加え、初めてお茶会を経験される方も参加くださり、和やかで温かな雰囲気の中で始まりました。 冒頭では、お茶会に参加する際の心構えや、茶道に込められた精神についてご紹介しました。今回ご披露したお点前は、茶箱を用いた「卯の花点前」。初夏の風情にふさわしいお点前です。その歴史的背景や成り立ちについてもお話しさせていただきました。 お点前のデモンストレーションをご覧いただき、静かな時間の流れと、所作の美しさを体感していただきました。 お点前の後はテーブル席に移動し、日本の伝統的な和菓子とともにお抹茶を楽しみながら、参加者同士での交流を深めました。 初夏にふさわしい、心豊かで穏やかな午後のひとときを、皆さまとご一緒できたことを心より嬉しく思います。 On May 31 (U.S. time), we held our “Early Summer Tea Ceremony” This event welcomed not only guests with prior experience in tea ceremony gathering, but also first-time participants who were new to the world of tea. The gathering began in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. We opened with a brief introduction to the mindset and spirit of tea, sharing the deeper meaning and values embedded in the practice of tea ceremony. This time, we featured the Unohana-demae —a seasonal tea procedure using a compact chabako  (tea box), perfectly suited to the refreshing mood of early summer. We also provided a brief explanation of its historical background and origin. Guests enjoyed the demonstration, allowing them to experience the quiet flow of time and the refined beauty of each gesture. Following the demonstration, participants moved to table seating to enjoy traditional Japanese sweets and matcha, while engaging in friendly conversation and networking. We are truly grateful to have shared such a peaceful and enriching afternoon with everyone—a moment that perfectly captured the spirit of early summer.

留学生と一緒にイギリスの文化を楽しみました！ 参加者のみなさんと国際交流を楽しむことができました！😊✨ English will follow 5/8に津田塾大学小平キャンパスでCulture Dayを開催しました！ 留学生から自分の国の魅力を紹介してもらい、様々な国の文化を体験できるイベントです！ 第２回は、イギリス！🇬🇧 イギリス出身の留学生から、イギリスの美味しい食べ物や地元の街の様子についてプレゼンをしてもらいました！ 今回はなんと、一橋大学や国際基督教大学からもイギリス出身の留学生が津田塾大学のキャンパスを訪問、参加してくれ、大学の枠を超えて素敵な国際交流の機会を作ることができました✨ 特にイギリス文化ゲームやクイズは大盛り上がりで、約30名の参加者の皆さんと一緒にイギリスのお菓子を楽しみながら沢山お話することができました！☺️🙌 イギリス産の美味しい紅茶のお土産も！☕️✨ 次回はベトナムのCulture Dayを開催予定です！🇻🇳✨ぜひご参加ください！ On May 8th, Unlimited hosted a Culture Day at Tsuda University in Kodaira, Tokyo! Culture Day is our original event where international students introduce their own cultures, and participants can enjoy the cultures from various countries! This is the second time and we featured the UK!🇫🇷 International students from the UK gave a special presentation about the great foods in the UK and the environment of their home town! In this time, international students from other universities (Hitotsubashi University and ICU) visited the campus of Tsuda University and also joined us! フリーランスアドバイザーとして活躍する方からお話を伺いました！ とても貴重なお話を伺うことができました！ English will follow 4月24日、津田塾大学千駄ヶ谷キャンパスに大杉さんをお招きして、対面＆オンラインのハイブリッド形式でインタビュー企画を行いました。 大杉さんは現在、フリーランスのアドバイザーとして活躍されています。 イギリス大学院進学や外資系企業への勤務、転職、資格取得など、現在のお仕事に至るまでの幅広いお話を聞かせてくださいました。 中でも、「後悔のないように、やりたいと思ったことはやっておくべき」という言葉がとても心に残りました。 そして、常に学び続け、自分の興味や目指す方向に向かって挑戦し続ける姿に、大きな刺激を受けました。 Unlimitedメンバーも、「大杉さんのように自分の“やってみたい”気持ちを大切にしながら、行動していきたい！」と強く感じました。 ご参加くださった皆さま、ありがとうございました！ 次回のイベントもぜひお楽しみにしていてください🌿　 On April 24th, we welcomed Ms. Ōsugi on the Tsuda University campus in Sendagaya, Tokyo for an interview event held in a hybrid format, both in person and online. Ms. Ōsugi is currently working as a freelance advisor, and she shared a wide range of stories about her journey-from graduate school in the UK and career changes to obtaining certifications, all the way to her current work. One message that particularly stayed with me was: “If there’s something you want to do, do it so you won’t regret it.” Her commitment to continuous learning and her drive to pursue her interests and goals was truly inspiring. It made members of Unlimited realize how important it is to cherish my own desire to try new things and take action, just like she does. Thank you to everyone who joined us! We hope you’re looking forward to our next event as well🌿 沢山の素敵な言葉から勇気をいただくことができました✨

Lean In JCW Circle "4 ways to be an ally to other women" (Apr 23, 2025) 米国時間の4月23日、少人数制のオンラインキャリア勉強会「Lean In JCW Circle」を開催しました。 今回のテーマは 「4 ways to be an ally to other women（他の女性たちの味方になる4つの方法）」 。 多様な価値観を尊重し合いながら、女性たちが安心して活躍できる社会をつくるにはどうすればよいのか。グループディスカッションや個別ワークを通じて、「アライ（Ally）」として互いにどのように支え合えるかを深く掘り下げました。 さまざまな地域からのご参加、ありがとうございました！ 【Lean In JCW Circleとは？】 JCWでは、年に4回（3か月に1回）、少人数制の オンラインキャリア勉強会 を実施しています。 参加費は無料 。 どなたでもご参加いただけます。 現在お仕事をされている方 キャリアの合間にいる方 社会に出る準備をしている学生さん 女性も男性も、どなたでも大歓迎です！ お気軽にご参加ください。お会いできるのを楽しみにしています！ On April 23 (U.S. time), we hosted our small-group online career session, Lean In JCW Circle . 4カ国からの参加者と国際交流を楽しみました！ 日本・アメリカ・オーストラリア・ベトナムから参加！ 社会人も学生も一緒に楽しくお話しました！ English will follow 日本時間4/6、アメリカ時間(CST)4/5に、第7回”Language Exchange Free Talk Event”を開催しました！🙌 今回はなんと！日本、アメリカ、オーストラリア、ベトナムから参加者が集まり、学生だけでなく卒業生も含めた合同イベントにパワーアップしました✨🇺🇸🇯🇵🇦🇺🇻🇳 ひなまつり＆イースターの文化紹介をしてお互いの国の文化を共有しあったり、春休みについて話したり、日本語と英語でとても楽しく交流できました🌸🐣✨ 自由に会話してSNSの交換もするなど、外国に友達の輪を広げる素晴らしい機会となりました！！😊 参加者のみなさん、ありがとうございました！！！ 今後も開催予定です！ぜひご参加いただけると嬉しいです☺️ ーーーーーーーーー On April 5th (CST) / April 6th (JPT), we hosted "Language Exchange Free Talk Event #7 ! 🙌 It was a collaborative event by students and alumni from USA, Japan, Australia and Vietnam.🇺🇸🇯🇵🇦🇺🇻🇳 We enjoyed cultural exchange by leaning “Hinamatsuri” & “Easter” and talking about Spring Break in Japanese and English. 🌸🐣✨ It was such a wonderful time to make many friends in other countries by enjoying free conversation and exchanging SNS!!😊 Thank you to all the participants!!! Let’s Talk Long-Distance Caregiving –Take-a-Breath Café (Apr 19, 2025) 参加者のみなさんと笑顔で記念撮影！(A cheerful group photo with all the participants!) 2025年4月19日に遠距離介護について語ろう「ほっと一息カフェ」をStonebriar Center内のCapital One Caféにて開催しました。 親の介護は、多くの方にとって人生のある段階で直面する大きな課題です。 特に海外に居住している場合、物理的な距離の制約から、十分なサポートができないもどかしさを感じることも少なくありません。また、現地での仕事や生活基盤を考慮すると、日本に長期間滞在して介護に対応することが現実的に難しいケースも多く見られます。 現在、遠距離介護の真っ只中にいらっしゃる方、またはこれから遠距離介護に直面するかもしれない方々を対象に、情報交換や体験談の共有、そして心をゆるめるひとときを過ごしていただける「ほっと一息カフェ」を定期的に開催していく予定です。 今回は記念すべき第1回目として、対面形式での開催となりました。 第1回「ほっと一息カフェ」では、まず参加者のみなさんに自己紹介をしていただき、その後、JCWスタッフから、3年半にわたる遠距離介護の体験談を共有させていただきました。 みなさん真剣に耳を傾けてくださいました。 続くフリートークでは、日本の親御さんの介護状況やご自身の介護経験、また、アメリカにいながらどのように工夫して遠距離介護に取り組んでいるかといった、貴重な体験をシェアし合う場となりました。 まさに、情報交換と支え合いの場として、温かいひとときを過ごすことができました。 次回の「ほっと一息カフェ」でも、一人でも多くの皆さまとお会いできることを心より楽しみにしています。 On April 19, 2025, we held our first "Take-a-Breath Café" event at the Capital One Café inside Stonebriar Centre, focusing on the topic of long-distance caregiving. Caring for aging parents is a significant life challenge that many of us will eventually face. For those living overseas, the physical distance often leads to feelings of frustration at not being able to provide the level of support they wish. Furthermore, given the demands of work and daily life abroad, it is often not realistic to stay in Japan for an extended period to manage caregiving responsibilities. To support those currently navigating long-distance caregiving, as well as those who may encounter it in the future, JCW plans to host regular "Take-a-Breath Café" gatherings—safe spaces where participants can exchange information, share personal experiences, and simply take a moment to breathe. This first event was held in person to mark the start of this new initiative. During the session, we began with introductions from all participants, followed by a sharing session where a JCW staff member spoke about her own experiences with long-distance caregiving over the past three and a half years. Participants listened attentively and engaged deeply with the stories shared. In the open discussion that followed, attendees exchanged valuable insights and experiences, including the current caregiving needs of their parents in Japan, their own caregiving journeys, and creative ways they have managed caregiving responsibilities while living in the United States. The event became a true space for mutual support, heartfelt conversations, and meaningful information exchange. We look forward to seeing even more of you at our next "Take a Breather Café"!
