New Year Networking Dinner (Feb 7 2026) 米国時間の2026年2月7日、JCW新年会ネットワーキングディナーを、Texas州Allen市のダウンタウンにある Hedary’s Mediterranean Restaurant  にて開催しました。本イベントは当初1月24日に予定されていましたが、テキサスを襲った大寒波の影響により、約2週間延期しての開催となりました。 会場となった Hedary’s は、レバノン・ベイルートから内戦を逃れてテキサスに移住したご夫婦によって創業されたレストランです。最初はフォートワースで開業し、1980年代に息子さんの代で Allen に移転。現在の店舗は、1904年に建てられた築122年のビクトリア調の一軒家で、当時は14人の子どもがいる大家族が暮らしていたそうです。レストランとして改装された後も、床やドアなど随所に当時の面影が残り、アンティークでアットホームな雰囲気が漂う空間です。 延期の影響で残念ながら参加できなくなった方もいらっしゃいましたが、当日は総勢17名が参加。スパークリングワインで乾杯した後、レバノン料理のフムス、ナスのペースト、きゅうりとヨーグルトのサラダ、焼きたての自家製ピタパン、タッブーレ（パセリ・トマト・玉ねぎのサラダ）、ファラッファル（ひよこ豆のコロッケ）、地中海風サラダなどが次々と並びました。メインにはチキンの丸焼き、ひき肉料理、肉のグリルが大皿で提供され、最後は甘いバグラバとレバノンコーヒー、ミントティー、ハーブティーで締めくくりました。 ※バグラバは、ナッツを何層もの薄い生地で重ね、シロップを染み込ませた中東の伝統菓子です。 和気あいあいと歓談 食事の途中には参加者全員の自己紹介タイムを実施。受付時に筆ペンで書いていただいた「今年の抱負」を披露しながら発表していただきました。短い一言の中に、それぞれのバックグラウンドや想いが凝縮されており、聞く側も自然と親近感が湧く時間となりました。 その後はビンゴゲームを開催。皆さん真剣な表情で番号を探し、1位から5位の方へ景品をお渡ししました。終盤には席替えを行い、ネットワーキングタイムへ。久しぶりに再会された方、今回が初参加の方、それぞれ会話が弾み、会場は終始和気あいあいとした雰囲気に包まれていました。 ご参加いただいた皆さま、心温まる楽しい時間を本当にありがとうございました。 On February 7, 2026, JCW (Japanese Career Women) hosted its New Year Networking Dinner at Hedary’s Mediterranean Restaurant, located in downtown Allen, Texas. The event was originally scheduled for January 24 but was postponed for approximately two weeks due to a severe winter storm that impacted Texas. The venue, Hedary’s Mediterranean Restaurant, was founded by a couple who fled the civil war in Beirut, Lebanon, and immigrated to Texas. The restaurant first opened in Fort Worth and later relocated to Allen in the 1980s under the leadership of their son. The current location is a Victorian-style house built in 1904, making it 122 years old. It is said that a large family with 14 children once lived there. Although the house was later converted into a restaurant, many original elements—such as the floors and doors—have been preserved, creating a warm, antique, and welcoming atmosphere. While a few members were unfortunately unable to attend due to the rescheduling, a total of 17 participants joined the dinner. After a toast with sparkling wine, guests enjoyed a generous selection of Lebanese and Mediterranean dishes, including hummus, eggplant dip, cucumber yogurt salad, freshly baked homemade pita bread, tabbouleh (a parsley, tomato, and onion salad), falafel (fried chickpea croquettes), and Mediterranean-style salad. The main courses—served family-style on large platters—included roasted whole chicken, seasoned ground meat dishes, and grilled meats. The evening concluded with baklava, a traditional Middle Eastern dessert made of layered phyllo dough, nuts, and syrup, accompanied by Lebanese coffee, mint tea, and herbal tea. During the meal, all participants took part in a self-introduction session. At registration, each guest was asked to write their “goal for the year” using a Japanese calligraphy brush pen and share it with the group. Even in just a few words, each message reflected personal backgrounds and aspirations, naturally fostering a sense of connection among attendees. This was followed by a bingo game, where everyone eagerly searched for their numbers. Prizes were awarded to the first through fifth place winners. Toward the end of the evening, seats were rearranged to allow for additional networking time. Conversations flowed easily among both familiar faces and first-time participants, and the venue remained filled with a friendly and lively atmosphere throughout the night. We sincerely thank everyone who joined us and helped make this evening such a warm and enjoyable experience.

留学生と一緒に韓国の文化を楽しみました！ 参加者のみなさんと国際交流を楽しむことができました！😊✨ English will follow 2026/1/22に津田塾大学小平キャンパスでCulture Day を開催しました！ 留学生から自分の国の魅力を紹介してもらい、様々な国の文化を体験できるイベントです！！！ 第4回目は、韓国！🇰🇷 韓国出身の留学生から🇰🇷のおすすめ観光名所や美味しい食べ物についてプレゼンをしてもらいました！ 韓国語の特別授業や韓国のお菓子も！ 韓国の伝統的な遊びの"タッチチギ"や"コンギノリ"を楽しみ、参加者のみなさんと一緒にとても盛り上がりました！☺️🙌 On January 22nd, 2026, Unlimited hosted a Culture Day at Tsuda University in Kodaira, Tokyo! At the Culture Day, international students introduce their own culture and participants can enjoy cultures from various countries! In the fourth time, we featured South Korea!🇰🇷 International students from South Korea had a special presentation about great places and delicious foods we can enjoy in South Korea! We also enjoyed a special language class to learn Korean and Korean snacks! JCW 6th Anniversary Event At Kendra Scott in Plano, TX At Kendra Scott in Denver, Co 3月30日に、ダラス＆デンバーの２拠点のKendra Scottにて、JCW設立６周年記念パーティーを同時開催！おかげ様で、たくさんの方々にお会いすることができました。ご来場頂いた皆様、そして活動支援のためにショッピングを通じてご寄付を頂いた皆様、本当にありがとうございます。対面にて日々の感謝の気持ちをお伝えすることができ、大変貴重な機会となりました。 今回は、初めましてな方やお久しぶりな方、そしてPAW(SA)の学生支部活動を通じて、UTD・UNT・Texas A&M Commerceからの学生さんとも対面でお会いすることができました。あっという間の素晴らしい２時間でした。 これからもJCWは、アメリカ・そして世界で働く女性のエンパワメントに寄与するため、様々な活動を続けて参ります。今後ともご支援頂けますと幸いです。 On March 30th, JCW hosted the 6th anniversary party at Kendra Scott in Dallas & Denver! JCW Event Report - Career Women Conference 4月20日に、JCWダラス4月イベント、「Career Women Conference～キャリアアップ、キャリアチェンジ、キャリア探しを応援～」を実施しました。大雨の中多くの方々にご足労頂き、本当に感謝です。 各パネリストさんのキャリアの変遷やライフイベント、紆余曲折を経て今に至った話などを通じて、たくさんの学びを得ることができました。 「パネリストさんのお話からパワーをもらえた」とか「ダラスで働いている他の日本人女性とお話できて嬉しい」など、参加者の皆さんもお楽しみ頂けたようです。 イベント後のネットワーキングタイムでは、お仕事の姿勢やキャリアのお話はもちろんのこと、美肌の秘訣やワインのお話、おいしいおつまみのレシピまで！ こうして少しずつ楽しみながら、ダラスで働く女性達のネットワークが広がっていくといいですね。 パネリストのキャロル菊間さん・高田奈生さん、貴重な時間を頂きまして、本当にありがとうございました！ On April 20th, we held the JCW Dallas April event, "Career Women Conference - Supporting Career Advancement, Career Change, and Career Exploration." Despite the heavy rain, we are truly grateful to everyone who attended. Through hearing about the career trajectories, life events, and twists and turns of each panelist, we were able to gain a lot of insights. It seems that participants also enjoyed themselves, saying things like "I gained power from the panelists' stories" and "I'm glad I got to talk with other Japanese women working in Dallas." During the networking session after the event, we discussed not only work and career paths but also beauty tips, wine, and delicious appetizer recipes! In this way, little by little, while having fun, I hope the network of women working in Dallas will continue to expand. Special thanks to our panelists, Ms. Carol Kikuma and Ms. Nao Takada. Online Meeting with 5 Associates 4月13日に、以下の５団体が終結！英語で合同ミーティングを行いました。それぞれの団体や大学が活動内容を発表し、その後ディスカッションを行いました。学生ならではの意見やコメントなども活発に出て、とても意義深く充実した1時間となりました。今後もこのようなイベントを開催できたらと思っています。 On April 13th, the following 5 groups collaborated to hold a successful student-led virtual meeting.  During the first part of the event, each team presented about their universities and organization activities. Then they held a free-talk to get to know everyone better. Overall, it was an incredible experience that helped us gain new ideas and perspectives!  Hopefully, we can hold even more collaborations in the future.
